    Hi Folks,

Currently have an upcoming HY/Iron fitting at TPI and just wanted to ask from those who have done one…I am on the fence about moving to a 9W as opposed to a new hybrid…as part of the HY?Iron fitting do you think a 9W could be tried instead of a 4H/5H?

Also thoughts on a 9W? Currently game a 4W/7W and have a big gap from 7W to 4H.

They will definitely work to help you select whichever club type best fits your needs, be it a high lofted fairway club or a hybrid. Those clubs are standard in their fitting cart and the TrackMan data will sort it out. I did an iron fitting which resulted in 6-PW irons, a 26 hybrid to replace the 5 iron and a 21 fairway to replace the 4 iron. The team at TPI are the best! Enjoy the experience.

I agree with Dale. I'd been using a 24* hybrid for several years. Based on the numbers, we changed into a 24* fairway (9 wood). I've hit it a few times already and it's easy to hit from both fairway AND rough.

but the best suggestion is to let the fitter do their job and see what works best for your overall bag. And talking about the fitting, don't look at the clubs that the fitter hands you to not bias yourself based on what is given.

Bag complete….. GT3 Driver, GT280 Mini Driver, GT2 16.5, GT2 18, GT2 24, T250 6 to PW, SM10 50, 54 and 58 with my trusted SC GoLo. Had to change a lot of my clubs following illness and major surgery last year. The team at St Ives, My staff Ambassador Coach and everyone at Team Titleist has been really supportive. Can’t thank them enough!
