Have been playing my SM10's with the stock DG105 Wedge and recently swapped out for a pair of DG Mid115 Wedge shafts to try them.

Typically I've been playing graphite in my wedges, curious to what others are playing in their wedges for graphite.

At my age, 79, most would say I need graphite shafts. That is why is use a fitter. Still play steel, various types that keep us old guys in those tradional shafts. Why I use a fitter when making those decisions.

Graphite for me is not an older golfer thing, I think steel is too much for most golfers, no matter how 'light' they claim it to be.
  4. Which shafts did you finally get and how do you feel?

For full swing clubs, I use the same graphite shaft for all. Wedges that are primarily used for pitching/bunker use I will use a steel shaft. The AMT Red R300 shaft as my irons use light graphite shafts. I like the feel better on these.

Moved away from steel more than 2 seasons ago, even in my wedges.

I really like the feel of graphite and find steel feeling too heavy.

I rarely use the 56 & 60 for full swing unless it's a yardage I know I can do. Struggling to actually hit those yardage with both steel shafts I've tried in these.

I got fitted into graphite shafts this year and ended up with graphite shafts in my Vokey wedges. I really like the consistency of having the same shafts in my irons and wedges. For me the learning curve was non existent

What shafts did you end up in and how do you like them?

I was fitted into the Mitsubishi MMT Blue 85G R flex. They have been great so far. I switched to graphite due to issues with my hand and elbow and these have helped that problem and I haven't lost any performance moving from steel.
