  1. I am and have been for many years hitting the same set of CB/MB 712s (4-7 CBs & 8-PW MBs) with Project X 6.5 shafts. I have wondered lately how much of a difference the new technology in irons would make in distance and dispersion. Which current irons would be the most similar to the 712 MBs? I enjoy hitting both, but seem to like the feel of the MBs better. 3 handicap.

    Thoughts?

Everyone is different. If curious, the only way you will determine if something is worth changing is to do a fitting and compare for yourself.

All you can do is give it a try! You might really like the new T-100 or 150! I know i was reluctant to change at first but an update sometimes feels great!

I have tried newer AP2s and T200s, but keep going back to my 712 CB/MB combination. The others feel great and go a little farther, but I hit the 712s consistent and straight for the most part. The older I get the more the likelihood I will switch, but I love hitting the 712s and will until I can't.
  5. I thought my 714 CB's weren't that old but they don't come up as an option in the profile.... haha

I have 712 CB 4-6 MB 7-9 irons that I played for like 3 years. Last year switched to 2021 T100 irons 4-9.
I found my T100 irons were going about 5 yards more carry. Same spin and stopping power. Marginally more forgiving vs the CB, and still marginally more forgiving than the MB. My swing inconsistencies made more of a difference then the club head.

The CB/MB feel softer, and a little nicer. But I'm not hitting them in direct comparison with my T100 on a daily basis, so on the golf course it makes no difference to me when I hit my T100. I've never hit my T100 and said, "Man I wish it was my MB."
  7. I have been playing 712 cbs 4-pm for 13 years, as of two days ago I have t100s in oil can ordered, can’t wait. Using kbs c tapers in the 712s. Looking to use kbs c taper black limited edition with the new oil can t100s.

    I am beyond excited!
  8. What shaft?
  9. I'll one up you, I currently have 710s in the bag lol. I've tried replacing them like 4 times and have ended up selling off the replacements and continuing to use the 710s. They're pretty beat at this point but they outperform everything else for me
