Favorite Putter Headcovers

I am very particular with my putter headcovers. No novelty or sports team headcovers for me. I usually use the Scotties unless I’m concerned that if I advertise what’s under the hood will attract thieves. Then I go to either a No Laying Up or Broken Tee Society headcovers, both of which are sponsored by Titleist. So fellow team members, what are your go to headcovers?

I really agree, the 14 long dividers are something that I really want to switch to - my grips always get caught on themselves with my current bag and I just don't like it - very frustrating. I do like the new look of the tour bag, but thats just my opinion.

Player S4 vs S5 Bag - Why go S4?

Hey all,

Looking for a new bag for this year and I'm really interested in the Player S4 and S5 series - it looks like there are some great new upgrades that make going with this year's model well worth it.

Honestly, I prefer the colours of the S4. However, aside from that, I'm having trouble seeing the advantages of the S4 over the S5: - It's slightly less expensive (though not enough to sway me one way or another) - It's only 0.2 lbs lighter (so basically as much as a deck of cards)

Realistically, what would the advantages be of going S4 over S5, or should I just suck it up and get a less appealing colour in the S5?

I just picked up the S4 Tee Time and honestly I’m blown away by it.

For such a small bag, it packs way more than you’d expect—no problem fitting all the essentials plus a rangefinder, a sweater, and my 20oz Yeti. The biggest surprise though is the club space. I’m running midsize grips with 2 wraps and I’m getting little to no club tangle, which I didn’t think was possible in a 4-way.

Super clean look, tons of usable space, and way more functional than it gets credit for. Awesome bag

I think Titleist nailed the redesign—clean, refined, and still has that classic Tour bag look.

That said, if you grabbed one last season, it’s not a must-upgrade. These bags are absolute tanks and barely show any wear even after a full year.

The updates are nice—better access, cleaner look—but nothing that makes last year’s feel outdated. Still one of the best bags in the game.

S4 Players Tee time

Picked up the Players S4 Tee Time bag recently and honestly… this thing surprised me.

First off, the look. It’s super clean. That green and gold combo with the subtle branding is exactly what I was after. I’ve got a full Titleist setup, so I didn’t want something with massive logos everywhere—this keeps it classy without screaming for attention.

What really shocked me though is how functional it is for the size. It’s a smaller, more compact stand bag, so I expected a bit of the usual headaches… but there’s basically little to no club tangle. I’m using midsize grips with a couple wraps, and it still handles them way better than I expected. The divider setup just works.

Storage is more than enough for what I need too. Range sessions, casual rounds, lessons—it fits everything without feeling bulky.

I originally wanted something a bit more low-key compared to my Premium Stand bag for everyday use, and this ended up being exactly that. Clean look, lightweight, and way more functional than it has any right to be.

If you’re on the fence about going with an S4, I’d strongly suggest pulling the trigger. I was hesitant at first, but it’s easily one of the best gear decisions I’ve made.

Can’t wait to bring it out to the short game clinic at Shaughnessy this summer.

As a former caddy, i hated the 14 individual divider bag but it really does protect shafts and grips. Thinking of moving from the legends bag which is beautiful but the clubs do get stuck quite often to the 14 hybrid bag

Man, those full length dividers are awfully tempting... I think every bag should have them. I have the midsize and would kill for all my grips to not get jumbled up at the bottom

That seems to be a limited edition bag offered thru European accounts, based on my limited research. Did not find it being carried in the US.

I have purchased the Linkslegend tee time members bag. I've gone to the link on the bag tag but that appears to be a grey/black plate appropriate for other Linkslegend bags.

I'm trying to get the gold plate... Any ideas how I get this? Purchased from a respectable 3rd party and they've got no idea.

What has happened to True Temper and Project X? Used to be able to get their handcrafted range, albeit at a significant upcharge, but I can't even find a proper website for them now, never mind their handcrafted range.

If you are referring to a Titleist factory custom order, the catalogue of non-stock shafts are not all online. The main Titleist fitting center for the UK can place an order if these are still in the Titleist catalogue for the UK. Most pro shops should be able to, as well.

At least in the US large volume golf stores make it hard to get special items.

The tag I got a few years ago was black/grey. Have no knowledge of a golf plate. Might try calling Titleist customer service for assistance, at 800-333-4200. Available Monday-Friday from 9:00AM - 5:00PM EST.

I think the question is really why people choose the S5 over the S4. The S5 has 2 more pockets and is slightly bigger and might be better for players having issues with club tangle, especially if they use larger than standard grips. If those features aren’t important to you, I’d go with the S4. I personally like the smaller size.

For me, I went S4 to keep the diameter as small as possible. They increased it over previous Player 4 models but I find it more comfortable on my back, being that I’m not a large guy. I also do not need the extra pockets or the additional divider. I like the Carbon even more but the leg mechanism did not get the upgrade in 2026 so I went S4. You can’t go wrong with either one so pick what works for you and enjoy those walks.
