Sometimes it pays off to play in tough conditions... My Dad was in town for the weekend and we decided to play golf. When I booked the tee time a week in advance the weather was looking to be mid 50s with light wind, a treat for early April in MN. Well, as the day approached it got colder and windier each day the forecast updated but, I called my Dad to ask if he still wanted to play and he responded "Well I didn't bring my clubs down for nothing". So... We decided to play.
After 14 holes just about everything was numb but we got to the Par 3 15th and I tee'd off first. I hit my PW on the downhill 15th that was playing 127 yards into a wind that was off the right. As the ball went up the wind grabbed it and brought it back into towards the hole. One hop and it disappeared. I wasn't numb any longer... and now I get to live with the memory of having my Dad, the one who taught me the game be a witness along with two friends of my first hole-in-one.
