Playing in a medal competion, The Race To The Beach, I was having an 'okay' round. We arrived at the challenging signature 13th tee and my three playing partners had all teed off. They hadn't given me much of an idea (basically, all three made a mess of their tee shots!!) so I took a chance with my 6 iron. I'm 73 and only took the game up when I was 58 and play off 22. It turns out that I had made a great club selection and the ball, a Titleist V1X did just what I told it to. Perfectly flighted to come off the ridge to the left of the green and we were all pleased to watch it roll gently into the hole. The most important thing for me was that it was the same hole that my son had his Hole In One in 2002!! So proud and a moment that I will treasure for the rest of my golfing life
