So, not because of brand loyalty, my bag is Titleist. Irons, full Vokeys, Fairway woods, Hybrids, and driving irons... all Titleist. I have had 3 drivers, though my TSR is back up for my Japan import Bridgestone (I wonder how the mods will censor that. haha) but my Putter has always been the O.G. Newport shape from png. (I know how to censor that. Haha). Which still will hold the majority of bag time, but I have finally acquired my Scotty. Would I have rather had the Newport proper, yes. But I honestly only focus on the face and top line, so as long as it's a blade it's usually good. Enter my new old Newport Two!

  2. Looking to get into Scotty Cameron putters, but I don’t know where to start. I play a blade, but want to get into a mallet for different options on different green types. What is a good start?

I play png Ansers, I have a few of em. I have never found a single mallet from any company I've ever hit well until I hit the Phantom X 5.5 slant neck. I thought the 5.2 plumber would be better, but it's worse. It's more closer to face balance. The Phantom X 5.5 is the only mallet I've haven't felt like I'm fighting to control in my swing, and that I could hit on line every time.

I would just find a store or course with a good selection of Phantoms and see which one you like the looks of the best and then play around with different necks, lengths etc.
