I'm currently doing research on the new GT280 mini driver. I've looked at pictures on GolfWRX for how the pros are setting up their bags with a mini driver in play. I've seen pictures with different weights in the back and front for each one. The most common set up I see is Dr., Mini, 7W, next iron. I know the answer is go get fit but it seems to be a lot of pros playing the same driver shaft just heavier.

I currently use a GT280 and love it. I'm a longer player so I don't use a 3W very often and when I do I generally hit it off the tee. I thought the 280 was a good fit for me as it gives me another option off the tee but I am still able to hit it off the fairway if I need to. My current setup is below.
    GT3 driver
    GT280 Mini
    T200 Driving Iron
    3, 5-9 T100S irons
    46, 50, 56, 60 SM9's

I am thinking of replacing my 3 Wood with the GT280 mini.

Do you think the GT280 mini is easier to hit than a 3 wood?

I was curious about this same thing. If it is it makes sense to take the 3 wood out completely. I feel then there is a gap between mini and your next fairway wood/hybrid.

Just order the GT280. The question I have is around gapping - Currently have GT2 driver, TSR2 3 wood and GT1 7wood. When you add the mini driver, does it make sense to take the 3 wood out?(I guess that depends on how well I hit it off the fairway) I would mostly use it off the the tee for accuracy as I tend to spray the driver every now and then.
