    Hi All,

I just wanted to say hello, I'm a late bloomer to golf 27 years old but got the bug around 2 months ago, after needing to move about more, get outside and mentally release from life for a few hours, I'm playing/training 3/4 times a week currently, love the social aspect of it as it has reunited me back with old friends, and grown the bond between my brother, dad and I.

When I knew I was going to be serious about golf and invested into my kit, Titleist just felt like family to me, from the Style, the performance and everything else the brand stood for, I knew this was the brand to help me improve my game.

Currently running pro v1's with T350s Black editions, and a lovely Titleist hat, I'm looking to buy my first scotty in the next month (Phantom x 5.5 black) and hopefully if I have change upgrade my wedges to some Vokeys blacks.

Cannot wait for this journey, am yet to try an 18 hole currently just do Par3's I feel like my driving ability is no where near where I need to play 18 yet, part skill part ancient driver, so look forward to the day I finally say I did my first 18.

Any tips from the family here to help me would be much appreciated and I look forward to sharing updates about my journey.

Welcome Mason. Love your picture as my first car was a 63 MGB. My main advice would be to hook up with a local pro and get lessons that build good fundamentals. I made the mistake of being self taught and it took years to correct a lot of faults that I still fall back into. It will be well worth the investment. Good luck and Godspeed.

Agree with my right honorable friend. Thought it would be an easy game in that I was a very good softball player. Did ok teaching myself, but could not develop the basics I could lean on when I needed them. Still working on my faults at the age of 79. It is a better game when you learn it properly from a PGA instructor and a heck of a lot more fun. Spent a lot of money trying to correct my faults by buying a game thru new and different equipment. A fault a lot of golfers make. Welcome to Team Titleist.

Welcome to the game. You beat me bi 41 years. Never too late.

You should find a coach to make sure you develop an efficient swing. That pro may also recommend equipment to better suit your swing. If that person isn’t a fitter as well, or promotes other brands, this website has a tab for fittings. Clubs and balls.

Glad you are enjoying the game and the “demand” to get out and move. Well proven, golfers live longer. I’ll add.happier as well

Welcome to the game. I started playing at 27 also. I will second Dale by saying get lessons early before you get too many bad habits. I waited until my early fifties to finally get lessons. Been hard to get rid of my baseball/slow pitch softball swing. Wish I would have got lessons a long time ago.
  6. Welcome Mason. you have come to a great place. Agree with the above, I urge you to get to a teaching pro in your area to learn solid fundamentals of grip, stance and alignment. If you get these down, you will find much more enjoyment in the game.
Here at TT, you will find a zealous group of Titleist loyalists with tips, both mental and physical, great stories and insights into the greatest sport in the world.
