    Greetings!

I wanted to ask for some insight and advice.

For my 40th birthday, my wonderful wife gifted me a plane ticket to San Diego (oddly one-way) to visit the Scotty Cameron Gallery and booked a tee time for me at Aviara Golf Club. Sadly, Torrey was full up.

Has anyone had any recent experiences at the gallery and could provide advice or feedback?

I’ve never been to CA and I’m very excited! I head that way in a couple of weeks.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. When you go to the Gallery, there will be a gentleman out front (his name is escaping me) that will take your name. Let him know that this is your first time and also for a big celebration.

You can't walk into the Gallery on your own, so you want to make sure you get on their ist.

When your name comes up, a member of the Gallery will walk you in and show you around.

I was told to always go with zero expectations and enjoy the experience. If you have a Scotty collection, bring a picture and share it with the Gallery. Are your intentions to buy a putter?

Around the Gallery there are some.great places to eat. The Taco Stand is always one of my favorites.

Add a fitting session at Titleist Performance Institute. You have to see and experience the place.

are you looking to get a putter? they adjusted their "rules" for CT putters. You'll need you current CT, MOTO or Ltd putter or COA as proof of ownership to be able to purchase a CT. they limit head covers to 2 per month. they also have limited edition covers that are once in a lifetime. Since you are permitted into the store, you won't necessarily need to get there incredibly early, but it never hurts. Bring a book, laptop, etc. to pass the time.

I believe the Security guy is Dan. Nice guy and enjoys his job.

Best thing is to go, enjoy the experience, spend a few $$ and have a fantastic memory! And make sure to thank your wife for this awesome gift!

    That is a great gift.

The Encinitas Fish Shop is a great place to eat if you like seafood.
If you have time to squeeze in another round while you are out there I highly suggest Goat Hill in Oceanside. It is a fun, quirky, laid back place to play.

Have fun and enjoy shopping at the gallery.

Thank you to all for the advice and recommendations. I just got back from CA in time to be exhausted before work but the trip was fantastic. I arrived and made my way over to the gallery as quickly as I could which wasn’t difficult. There were some people in line already when I got there just after 9:30am, 10-15 or so, but once they opened up and took names I waited maybe 20 minutes to get in. The sales associate was really nice and very informative, I walked out with a bag tag, an Encinitas head cover, and a Studio Style Catalina MOTO putter! The requirements for a Circle T purchase were affirmed on one year of ownership of the MOTO and to come back WITH the putter. I ate at the Encinitas Fish Shop that was suggested and it was awesome! I would recommend the Aviara Golf Club to anyone, conditions were exceptional and the staff was nice and welcoming.

It was a quick trip and now I guess I have to go back in a year for the Circle T….better start saving!

Thanks again for everyone’s input, much appreciated and it definitely helped.
