Several weeks ago I had the opportunity and privilege to play 2 stunning courses on the East Lothian coast, Archerfields Fidra course and The Renaissance club both of which were in amazing condition and we had great weather. What an amazing couple of days on two very different courses a stones throw apart, the tree lined beauty of the Fidra’s front nine holes each of which wouldn’t look out of place as an oil painting on any golf enthusiast man cave and the rolling slopes and bunker stroon fairways of the Renaissance club. It was great to stand on holes which the pros had played earlier this year and recall the shots in real time.

These two courses should definitely be on everyone’s list if you get the opportunity and rest assured I’ll be making the trip back up to the east Lothian coast next year to sample some more links golf.
