Is pre worn leading edge the same as leading edge relief?

    Is pre worn leading edge the same as leading edge relief? Was looking at the Wedgeworks K* which said it has leading edge relief. Is that the same as a pre worn leading edge?

    Wedgeworks had an additional hand ground option for a pre worn leading edge which made me think they are two different things. They filter their hand ground options depending on the loft and grind you pick on their website but for some reason they still have pre worn leading edge as an option under K*. I called Wedgeworks and the guy on the phone didn't know.

    Tomato, tomato. Same concept though leading edge relief can be a characteristic all manufacturers could throw into their marketing. Clubs need some to cut thru the turf. The offering through WW takes that relief to another level to further minimize turf interaction and speed the club thru impact, particularly on firm ground. If you've ever tried a chip with a 7i or 9i and notice how much easier it is for the club to grab, a rolled leading edge (aka pre worn) smooths that out.
