The left image is my extended wedge setup. I also optimize the bounces on my wedges. I'm using a Wedgeworks 44F (42*) as a "9 iron". My "pitching wedge" is a 50-12F set to 48*. It also can be used for longer bunker shots. Sand wedge is a 56-12D set to 54* and club length of 35". These are quite versatile. The 58-06K is probably THE most versatile lob wedge. 2nd place is 60-04T but there is a difference of 5 yards in full swing distance vs LBK. In the upper right corner is a 3 wedge setup with a local vendor's 60/10 (59*), a Callie style full face wedge. The bottom right is for course condition and would replace the 58-06K.

RE: what wedges?

Great choices .... also the gapping is spot on .... my vokey wedges are gapped by 4 degrees as well

what wedges?

I am a 10 handicap at the age of 15 and i am looking for wedges. The bounce you need will depend on your angle of attack and the course conditions that you mostly play on.

More prone to "hosel rockets" or pulls before with too upright of a lie angle or too long of a shaft. I had also had issues with a 48-10F (46*) with an occasional shank or pulled shot.

There was a period where I was doing very well with a 54-10S (52*). Played it as a gap wedge for 3 years. I played 695MB 7-P set 1/2" short and 1* upright. Now I remember the club length of the 54S was 35"

Used to have a hard time with a 50 or 52 GW.

Been doing well with 44F for some time now.

I've been pretty comfortable using a 58-14K or 58-12D as a sand wedge since 2019. Even with 65* lie angle.

Had the fitter check the lie angle of the 44F. 64*. Once I set the lie angle of the 52-12F to 64* no problem. I just recently went to 50-12F set to 48* and that is now my "PW".

I shortened the lengths of the 56-08M and 56-12D to 35". One thing now is no issue with full swings. I use the M (55*) when I bring a 60-12D (59*) for course conditions. 56-12D (54*) is a good general purpose SW. 60-04T is my lob wedge.

RE: Whats your favorite grind on your 60?
I used the M grind in my 60 for years, but just recently switched to a 60 12D, and I love it. D and T are better for flop shots but about equal to the two Ks from soft lies.

RE: Whats your favorite grind on your 60?
I used the M grind in my 60 for years, but just recently switched to a 60 12D, and I love it. I live in PA and the course conditions can greatly vary between courses here. Was alternating between K and 58-12D (56*) between 2023-2024. Between mid 2024 until 2025, my go to combo was 58-12D (57*) and 60-06K. Where D wins out over K grind is open face or flop shots. Once I figured out the idiosyncrasies of T grind, I've been using 60-04T for greenside bunkers and flop shots.

RE: Whats your favorite grind on your 60?
I recently added the 60 K* and it is literally a cheat code. With the lead edge grind and the low bounce make this wedge a weapon..
I briefly tried out a 58K* set to 59*. Great out of soft sand but 60-06K is better off hard lies.

I also had 58V. Fantastic in soft bunkers. Not as good as D grind off firm lies.

RE: Whats your favorite grind on your 60?
T Grind. Love it. I can open that thing up so flat, I can easily flop off fairway lies. I strictly use it as an oh shi...!! club.

Anything from 60 and out, I'll use my 54.10S, and 50-30yds is my 60. 60-50 is 54 or 60 depending on what I'm feeling at the time. I used to use 60 at 40 and 54 at 50yds but I started hitting my wedges longer a year ago, and a 50yd with my 54 is harder to control now, since I'm only taking the club back to like 8 o'clock.

Mostly chip with the 54 straight up, and only chip with the 60 if I need it to land softer and open up more than 54. Other than that it's the club if I have to get it up and over something and land and stop on a time. The T Grind allows me to do that from any lie on the golf course.
For me S grind is very limited. It's great for pitch shots and chipping but leaves a lot to be desired in sand. Doesn't lend itself too well for flop shots.

For what it's worth, I have a pic of the 60-12D and 60-04T alongside. They perform equally well in soft sand and most pitching. Where T grind wins out is a severe downhill lie on hard pan.... picks the ball better.

Not a tremendous difference between 56-08 M (55*) and 56-12D (54*). I use the M and 60-12D in place of 56-12D (54*) for unknown course conditions.

RE: Whats your favorite grind on your 60?
I used to love my M grind, especially because I liked being able to open the face around the greens. But after taking part in a short game clinic and getting properly fit, I ended up with a low bounce K grind and honestly it made everything way easier for me. Bunkers, tight lies, little shots around the green — it just feels so much more forgiving and confidence inspiring. I still think the M is awesome, but the K definitely surprised me.
I played K grind 2* strong between 2019-2023.
